Project Overview
Solskin is transforming the sports center into an energy-efficient, sustainable environment that enhances athlete performance, spectator comfort, and overall well-being. By integrating Solskin Comfort, to intelligently adapt the interior climate and comfort in regards to the user's needs and the weather conditions, we create spaces that promote functionality, comfort, and environmental responsibility, fostering pride in athletes, staff, and visitors. The Solskin facade offers transparency and openness when needed, while also controlling daylight and protecting privacy, ensuring the perfect balance between natural light and a comfortable, private space.

Context
Sports centers face significant challenges, including high energy costs and the need for optimal conditions for athletes and staff. Inadequate shading, lack of privacy and temperature control can hinder both performance and enjoyment. Effective shading structures are essential for protecting users from direct sunlight, maintaining a cool and comfortable environment, and minimizing risks such as dehydration and heat stroke. Particularly south of the alps these challenges are playing an important role. Creating a motivating environment that fosters protection from the outdoor influences is crucial for enhancing the overall experience, allowing athletes and staff to feel safe and inspired to push their limits.
Solskin Implementation
Solskin Comfort is used on large parts of the sport centers’ facade, including the glazed areas around the olympic pool and the multi purpose sport hall on the lower floors as well as the gym on the upper floor. The Solskin Units are seamlessly integrated with the center’s architecture, enhancing its visual appeal. Soskin Comfort optimizes the natural lighting of the sporting venues and actively reduces energy costs by effectively regulating indoor temperatures. In addition Solskin acts as a privacy screen, and ensures that the training facilities remain secure and welcoming for everyone. In large communal spaces like pools and halls, Solskin facade elements maintain bright, comfortable environments that boost athlete performance and spectator enjoyment by balancing natural light and temperature throughout the day.
