Solskin has been honoured with two distinctions at the Swiss Solar Prize 2025 in Geneva, awarded within the prestigious PlusEnergy Building (PEB) programme curated by Norman Foster. The prize celebrates architects, engineers, and innovators who successfully integrate solar technologies into buildings that unite comfort, architectural quality, and significant CO2 reduction through net energy production.

This year, Solskin received both the Spezialen Jury-Innovationspreis and the Publikumspreis — a recognition of forward-looking technology as well as strong public resonance.
A Project that Defines a New Standard
The awarded project, the Iltios Swiss Solar Chalet in Unterwasser, transformed a former ski lift drive station into a private residence that exemplifies a thoughtful balance of sustainability, regional identity, and contemporary design. The Solskin facade, driven by real-time AI optimisation, tracks the sun and regulates solar gains to enhance comfort and energy performance throughout the day. The result is a building that demonstrates how energy autonomy and architectural culture can be seamlessly combined.

An Evening of Inspiration
The ceremony in Geneva brought together leading voices in sustainable construction, offering a meaningful platform for exchange and reflection. It was a pleasure to celebrate alongside partners and guests and to share conversations that will undoubtedly lead to new ideas and collaborations.

Looking Ahead
This recognition underscores the potential of adaptive solar facades in shaping the next generation of buildings. We are committed to continuing our work on solutions that elevate both environmental performance and architectural quality.
